The sculpture Venus draws its inspiration from the planet it’s named after—often associated with beauty, femininity, and mystery. Its curving organic forms and open central void create a sense of balance between strength and delicacy. The structure seems both ancient and futuristic, much like our view of celestial bodies across time.
I hope viewers feel a sense of harmony, elegance, and timeless curiosity—like discovering something that has existed both in deep space and within us.
I chose bronze for its durability and ability to convey age and permanence, enhanced by a subtle green patina. The marble base grounds the piece in gravity, contrasting the ethereal concept of Venus orbiting in space. The abstract style allows personal interpretation while remaining universally symbolic.
